Do this with 5/7MM spacers. Done.

I run 18s on a NB. I recommend the 225/40/18 fronts and 265/35/18 rears.

No problem rubbing with Pirelli or Sumi 285's on mine.

Does anyone have any experience running 11x18et45 on there 993NB? Under normal use? I would think on track days there could be some rubbing issue on the fender outer lip and possibly the strut under extreme cornering?

That's a great (if orphan) rear tire size. Nice wide width that fits, and a lower profile that reduces the impact of tall stock gearing measurably.

Just have not had success finding many tires in that size. Too bad.

I end up running 235/265 and that seems to work for me for my purposes. Balances relative traction to the front which is not a bad thing.

Cheers

Matt

I have a set of 996 Twin Turbo wheels and tires that I'm trying to sell, out of curiosity I mounted them (they have the same size/offsets for rears you are asking about) on my 993 Narrow Body. As you can see they are way too wide, especially in the rear.

Tire Rack has (21) different tires in the 285/30x18 size and (120) different tires in the 225/40x18 size

I ended up pulling the tires (225/40 and 265/35's) off of the stock Turbo Twists and mounting them on the RUF wheels, they literally had less than 500 miles on them and I couldn't bring myself to just let them sit. Pretty happy with the wheels though.

I've already run a search but did not find any definitive answers; What size tires (I do not plan on using spacers) are typically run on these? Stock 225/40 on fronts? The 8.5 on the front wheel size is throwing me. Would 295/30's work in the rear? Thanks Guys.......Mark.
225/40 & 265/35 will work great w/ no issues whatsoever, the wider and taller the tire the more potential for rub somewhere and the more restrictions on ride height and setup

Doesn't look that bad. Just sticks out about 1/2 inch? Doesnt rub?

I'd say they stick out closer to an inch, unsure about rubbing since I did not drive it with then on it, my guess is that definitely would rub.
