I am actually liking the way this pays homage to the original targa. Would I buy one? Undecided but not hating it, that's for sure.

Had an 85 Targa- Loved the ability to go hard top/ open. i'd love to see a really good targa top come back. Never liked the glass roof idea.

I owned a 1971 Targa for 25 years. After the novelty wore off, I rarely drove without the top because of the hassle. Did a lot more top down driving with my Boxsters.

like it but would also like to see how clean they could
keep the design of the mechanism, from an interior perspective.

holy crap looks like a complicated Targa roof mechanism system! Hope it is more reliable long term then the old 993 Targa. I really like this new Targa!

Now if they made a "soft window" version it would be worth a lot!!

Really. I think I'd prefer four clips. But it looks great.

As a 993 targa owner, I've had very little issues. This looks like a Panamera from the rear..Bubble back window.

It is a solid attempt as a convertible hardtop. I love my targa's open air feel and think this can give the same.

However, the 993, 996 and 997 still had back seats. Also, the 996 and 997 had a handy hatchback.

Most 911 owners appreciate the back seat and use them.

Great news! Leaks, squeaks, rattles and aggravation are BACK!

Pic of my loved and departed 86...

Cheers!

It just doesn't resonate with me. Maybe it looks too much like a Panamara?

(And this is coming from a Targa guy)
