Default Anyone else having trouble finding spark plugs?

Everyone seems to be out of the Bosch FR5DTC's that are the correct plug for the 993.....are they gone for good? What's the best replacement?

Ed Hughes recently had the same issue when refreshing Sapphire. PM him for his solution

For street use, you may use the FR6DTC's without angst. I do prefer the 5's for track work, though.

The 5's are temporarily out, so we use some NGK's here, too as they are great plugs.

They are tough to find, but I found them online at Sears, of all people.

Thanks, just checked -- looks like Sears gets them from Autoplicity, and Autoplicity only has 3 left.

What model NGK is the alternative for the FR5DTC? I did some searching and best I could find is an old reference to the BCPR7ET.

There are a number of places showing them in stock, until you try to order them. That was my experience, these may be different.

I found 2 reasonably priced suppliers there that showed multiple available, only to get emails attempting to sub them with Beru or NGK.

And just since we're talking about spark plugs. I don't think names like "FR5DTC" and "BCPR7ET" are complicated enough. How about something cooler, like the Bosch LKJSDF982V98SD0V93JO09FUVJ9SDV09SDFG90 or the NGK 4O890UV0823FJ08DSVMVMEW098DNVM. They're letting us off a little easy as things stand.

Ed, are the Bosch's more suited to a certain environment than the NGK's or is there another reason you passed over them? My PO gifted me with a box of NGK's for when the time comes...
