Very easy Rudy.
There is a DIY on here somewhere.
The only thing that was a pain was removing the yellow warning stickers from the back. It took almost an hour for each one w/ a hair dryer and goo gone.
Nice grade of leather.
Regards,

I have the 996 sport seats in my car and frankly I just don't find them that comfortable nor supportive. They absolutely sit ~1" higher than the OEM seats although I have always thought the OE 993 hardbacks did as well. I think mine will be coming out of my car fairly soon to be replaced with Recaro A8's.
On a related note I have a pair of OEM 993 hardbacks in gray 4-way power with Crests and heat. Not perfect, but very presentable maybe a 7.5/10 due to some bolster wear and drivers seat "patina", no splits, tears, etc. What is the consensus for values in today's market? I was going to install them in a 964T but have decided against it for now.

I find the sport seats to be very comfortable and supportive (6'1" ~185 lbs) and they look so good:
Rookie but learning:
The only thing that I would think of trading/selling for would be GT3 or Recaro speedster seats but they would have to be covered in marble leather.

Me too. Finally sat in 993 sport seats at our last Meet and Drive here in Rockville and they felt way too tight for me. I was glad to find that out as I've always lusted over them, looks-wise. I can't figure out how a heavy-set person would ever be comfortable in them if I wasn't.

I have sport seats in my 993 turbo. Find them very comfortable even on longer trips. They are a perfect compromise in most circumstances except track driving. There I would have preferred Recaro PP. I have driven a 993 with comfort seats the same day as my own and found them comfortable as well. The difference in lateral support are not that big in real life.
I wonder if there are anyone in their right mind that pays 14900 Euro for a new set of sport seats. One can only hope that the value of the cars are high enough so that the insurance companies don´t write them of on a set of seats alone. That would be a sad sight. Porsche should have that in consideration when setting the prices i believe. What do the sport seats sell for these days second hand?
