Dealing with fasteners made of cheap inferior metal.
Seeing the value increase over 70% when I was expecting deprecation.

Knowing that it doesn't get any better than this .... and probably never will

Hmmm, what do I hate the most about my 993? It's hard to even think of the word hate in the same sentence as my 993. With all it's problems, like not having a working fan this whole summer into the fall since my mechanic couldn't fix it till a week ago (just needed a new controller) I still LOVE my 993. I even chose to drive it over my much more civilized beast (MB S63) regardless of the heat outside or conditions. It's the go-kart I always wanted.

With the confounding immobilizer that only after 10 years of ownership I'm finally starting to remember 99% of the time to press it before starting the car - I still adore this car.

With the back-breaking, contortionist style exercise of cleaning the rear window - I love my car.

With the occasional rattles that crop up, or things that break that send me back to the indie, I love my car.

With the weird metallic noise that's currently intermittently in my clutch depression that my indie said is "nothing" and he couldn't really reproduce it when driving it himself, I still love my car (and will eventually bring it to a NEW INDIE that I must finally go to soon when more stuff needs repairing).

With the nervousness of parking in downtown DC and worrying that I could be getting a door ding at any minute, I'm grateful for the smallness of the car and that I can afford to get this stuff fixed now when need be.

Now that I've hit 100,000 miles I no longer really worry about putting a lot of miles on my car each year. I can finally afford to fix anything that goes wrong with it as well, since work is going great right now and the money is rolling in better than it ever has.

Being single (for the last 3 years) kind of rocks right now. No one to say "honey, isn't that car costing too much? Maybe you should sell it?" Gosh I'm glad I don't have to hear that anymore. Yeeesh.

Hell no I'm not selling it! HELL NO.

The Immobilizer. Hands down the most aggravating aspect of the car.

So here's my list:

- my buddy says the passenger side legroom is weak...I dunno.
- weak A/C....btw...my heater is fantastic, surprised to hear that from some.
- wish oil changes were easier...then I'd do them myself.
- windshield does pit easily.
- dipstick is hard to read...I only use it after an oil change though.
- would rather not have immobilizer.
- cleaning the rear window is a PITA.

That's about it. When I read back over the list...I realize why I love my car so much.

1. The occasional stall with the LWF.
2. Scraping once in while since lowering between RS and Sport several years ago--have a Gert Protection bar so that helps

Secondary air injection valves coking up
Changing the spark plugs (last one under the PWS pump!)
LEAKING POWER STEERING rack and POWER steering in general (why does one need it with weight mostly in the rear)
Overly complicated rear suspension (just learn how to drive the older version 911's )
Too refined compared to the 1989 carrera 3.2

Just got a '96 C4 and am loving it….but man, how the hell do you execute a decent toe/heel downshift?
I think the pedals were positioned by a sadistic podiatrist ...

Hate is too strong of a word, but the constant up down of the spoiler annoys me the most, I would love to get a Ruf version....

Not sure what it is about the gearing in reverse, but I tend to stall it periodically, so that is annoying.

Those that are complaining about the AC, have you had the evaporator inspected? Or R34 recharge?

I just serviced my AC and it works great now.
