Bent intake valve on the #3 cylinder, worn valve guides beyond imagination and the resulting engine rebuild. Should have her back in 2 weeks +/- and I'm sure there will nothing left to hate..

Gearing for local driving
The fact that they are going up in value
Don't have proper roads for this car close by
Don't commute by car, so don't drive it as much as I would like (or as fast as I would like)

Porsche stigma?...it's a 15+ year old car...And who cares, if you earned it (and even if you didn't) you can drive whatever you please.

Nothing, really. Either of mine do exactly what I require in the final generation of what's passably the last of these original 911s.

What I DO hate are the external factors--lousy roads, high risk area to actually drive the car, and a life that's kept me from daily driving or getting to the track for the past couple of years.

Only thing I don't like is the oil change. A tedious PITA.

I'll try to hit a few things that I haven't seen yet:

Spiral dipstick
Massive, and I mean massive, understeer
No slotted rotors available for standard brakes
Brake cross-springs, what sadist came up with that? Even with channel-locks, I will someday lose an eye or take a chunk off my fingertip.

I'm with u on this one. So annoying to have to constantly replace rotors due to cracking. Got a quote from a company for custom slotted front rotors. $1400. Damn.

Even when my keyfob battery died and I couldn't turn off the alarm I wasn't upset because it makes me so happy 99.9% of the time.

I think this thread makes the best "buy"argument for anyone contemplating purchasing one.

The Immobilizer (a rather appropriate name for this)
The oil change (really?)

- Oil changes
- Wondering if my hood latch is actually latched on as I drive at speed
- People coming up behind me at a red light with the expectation that I will take off faster than everyone else.
- The whole driving to work thing. I try not to, but I get the same comments/attitudes from driving the 07 Audi A8 or even an 04 Disco.
