I also put on some zinc primer on the blasted hubs so they don't look rusty after the first rain.
Looks like you did some cleaning in your garage! Last week I couldn't see the floor and had to hobble over all kind of bits & pieces...

You have a new nickname (I explained you & your doing to my dad while in Finland and after I visited the garage)...

It's Pelle Peloton! (translation is "Pelle Fearless" but he's know as Gyro Gearloose in English)

The way things are approached (no fear & fuss with a lot of open mindedness but with good sense & thinking) with him & his guys who work on cars certainly warrant for the name.

Hahah!!! Pelle Peloton...

It was nice to see you Petu. Looking forward to the first visit after the EVO project is finished...we'll see if you have the ***** to try the car...

So finally I got the shocks back from Moton. I sent them out in January, hoping to get them out of the way before the spring rush...well. they finished them up last week and overnighted them to me yesterday. Got the package today and installed them tonight.
I will tell you it was worth the wait!!! The shocks are like brand new!!

I had a friend come over (the body guy) and take out the windows. He has the right tools and methods so it was rather quick.

The car is loaded on my trailer now and tomorrow I will take it to the shop to for the cage installation. Stay tuned!

Shocks are really like new!

^^^ +1

Anxious for updates on this one... This is the only car that approaches the KMR 001 in terms of bad ***-ness.

Car is abt. 400km away from home, getting the cage installed.
The guy has been travelling for the past 2 weeks around the globe fixing and setting up race cars (he's a very busy man). As far as I'm told the interior has been completely stripped out of adhesive etc. with high velocity pressure washer.
The guy will be back mid this month and will start working on the car. He said it will take him two weeks to reinforce the seams, install the airjacks and the cage. Then the interior will be painted and I should be able to pick up the car first week of July.

where did you get the heated glass for windshield?

Kinda thinking about going that direction for my car.

First week of JULY bump. This project is amazing.

Sorry, no updates here. The cage guy has been über busy with projects around the world (you can follow him on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/jmstechnic )

Latest promise was that after the WRC Finland he will start working on the car. I'm not holding my breath just yet but on the other hand I wouldn't have any time to work on the car before September in any case.

I bought the heated windshield from these guys:

Ok, things finally started happening here. The cagemaker called me and asked if we should do a proper build...

So next thing the chassis is completely stripped and will be pressure washed down to bare paint/base coat.

I decided to ditch the complex and heavy streer car wiring and will design and build a new racing harness utilizing Motec PDM. So no more fuses and relays etc. Just simple and light.

I love the idea of a pdm system... So simple, so compact, just an awesome piece of kit. Makes a lot of sense if you're already using motec, and you're going this deep.

This is getting better and better.
