Split grill
Well I finally got myself a split grill. Thanks Ilko!
Started off silver....
Its a shame I had to paint it as it was pretty much perfect. Oh well!
Took it apart and had it painted black to match the car..
Unfortunately the car is hibernating for the winter so I won't be able to install until the spring! Can't wait!

Myles at South centre Porsche was having a black 911 touched up at a place called Details. The sprayed the grill for a great deal. Came out good but not 100% perfect. Has a few weird imperfections under direct light inside the house however looks great outside!

No more driving insides then
Jokings asides, I agree it looks great and is a nice upgrade. I painted mine and love it. I did buy a new one first from sunset, but the $99 c2 grill, not the sexy S grill you got. I did fantasize about an s one, but they were a little pricey new, so yours was a great buy.
I think it's a great upgrade in looks on a darker car because the matt black, IMHO clashes with the paint. On a lighter car there is contrast and I think it looks good stock or painted. One red and yellow cars, though, I hands down prefer black. Again, IMHO.
You are also going to enjoy washing your car more, as a simple wipe when your done and it looks as good as the rest of your paint. No more wondering if it's time to use the nu-black etc., again...

Yeah good call. Hate the mat, rubber look of the OEM grill. Looks so much nicer painted black and shiny!
Can't wait to get it put on in the spring!
