I removed all the factory sound insulation and put in 1/8" vinyl/foam insulation from Cascade, including the floor area. I don't have any problem with road noise. It's still a street car and I have taken it on 200+ mile road trips. DO IT
I probably will do it, and I was able to get the installation instructions from Rennline - great company BTW - and was already thinking of sticking some foam between the mats and floor so thanks for confirming the idea.
