Recently I was able to continue the shakedown of 001 (interrupted by a mechanical at Watkins Glen) at the PCA Road America event. 001 was incredible, times fell throughout Friday's test/tune and Saturday's practice as I got more comfortable learning the cars limits. My qualifying time for race 1 was OK, in the race itself after passing a couple of cars I was able to get some decent laps in, the best being 2.15.6 which was 4.5 secs faster than my class record time from last year! Unfortunately we had another unrelated mechanical issue that couldn't be rectified at the track. The problem has been easily identified and rectified. So I can't wait to get back on the track with 001 soon.

001 is now complete and the project has come to an end. Now its just about racing the car and enjoying it for what it is.

Here are some photos and a video from Road America.

Great pictures Mark. Any updates on when KMR will make some of the parts on your car available?

That was Jeff Gamroth (Rothsport), the guy who built Mark's engine...in his 993RSR.

Mark,

Amazing car. Glad I just read this thread.

And updates on how the car performed in the rest of 2014, and the beginning of 2015? What are the plans for the car the rest of this year?

Just watched the above video for the first time, don't know how I missed it before. Awesome double pass at the 2:40 mark on a 997 cup and Gamroth's RSR. I can't believe how late this car can brake. You need some dive bomber shark teeth graphics on that bad boy.
