Mmmmm.... I saw this being assembled a few weeks back when I picked up my trans/heads from Jeff. I think I barged in while they were discussing the deck height measurements. When I see this, I think of that Lego movie song "Everything is awesome"

It's great to see the engine come to life at Rothsport. 001 is now in the paint shop at Kelly Moss. I'm counting down the days until the car is finished and I see/drive it at Watkins Glen...

Great updates....
Interested in knowing what the difference in HP and TQ between the GT3 Plenum on the engine vs the Velocity stacks and large filters.
I can underdstand if you don't want to share the actual HP levels but the difference between the two intakes would be great

Scott - congratulations to all of you on a FANTASTIC build.
Folks, as you know, the owner has opened his wallet and heart to allow Rothsport to build what we now know to be the pinnacle of years of research, work and absolute perfection in our air-cooled world.
(The same can be said for the work Moss is doing with the chassis).
I've been following this on the sidelines and can say that I've never witnessed the joy and satisfaction that this build has brought the shop - as well as the secrecy. NOBODY knows what the dyno results are, but I can assure you that they are spectacular. (please, later, if the owner releases them, let's not get into meaningless comparisons - as the results come from this dyno, in this shop.)
Proof of the pudding, of course, is how the car goes on track. I'm told by the boss himself that the owner is a salty driver and this should be a fun car to watch this season.
My build this winter will be based around GT4 for the very reason that this car exists (in GT3)!!!
Best of luck to KMR RSR, have fun and go fast.

Fantastic thread and all credit to KMR RSR 001 for living the dream.
I could almost change my summer vacation to visit this car (not sure my wife would agree)
Just for interest how long do you run an engine in on a dyno?

Engine run in
We do a specific procedure for 1 hour for initial engine run in. This is at certain load points and rpm with attention to getting the lambda number correct within a short period of running for every load site we are in.
