Wow, to even contemplate having the iconic 993 in the same sentence as a Camry overwhelms my sense of harmonious good taste
Probably the ugliest, most soul-less, character-less, I am a just another number motor car in all of its best selling - US market sales record glory
Spare me the rhetoric scribe and nose drive off a cliff, over revving its V6 in the process
btw just when you thought PCA was a big deal single marque club......think again
CCA (Camry Club of America) must have at least 5 members, now that's exclusive !

"... it is possible to achieve a zero-to-60 time in the mid-fours. Push less hard, and the 993 feels about as quick as a new Toyota Camry V6."

i love when writers/journalists/ have to come up with a comparison even when a comparison is not needed.

taking this genius point a bit farther.. If you push even LESS hard my 12 year old could beat a 993 with his mountain bike. if you push even LESS hard than that .. you dont even MOVE ! This is really amazing stuff here...

The thing I like most about the Camry class of MazHonNisToy is the invisibility of the car. My wife has owned several examples over the years and I've always found it possible to cruise in those cars at speeds much higher than would garner a speeding ticket in my 993. Nobody pays attention to 'em.

David E. Davis Jr. and Brock Yates are pretty much what steered me into cars. I was absolutely going to do The Cannonball. (Funny that we were traveling roads this AM to get to the golf course that were open road rally stages when I was a teen. Never would have even know that stuff existed but for C&D.)

+1...

I'll never forget the Rulebook for the Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash:
Rule 1 - There are no rules
