I did the search, but no answer...

I washed my car yesterday and found that one of the third tail light mounts (metal plate with stud) has separated from the rear glass. The rear glass was replaced, mounts re-bonded a few years ago.

I am looking to find what adhesive I need to use. The bond is a flexible rubber like material that needs high strength to hold the Assembly (metal to glass) on at high speed.

Porsche says that it requires their special glue that they sell for $150/tube. Just go to any windshield installer and ask them to apply some two-part adhesive to it and let it sit for an hour and you will be fine.

That sounds like a plan... better than paying $150 when I only need a dab.
