How do you know if spoiler is raising properly
I searched about this but couldn't find an answer. How do you know if the spoiler is raising correctly (it's supposed to raise about 50mph, correct?). It just occurred to me to raise it manually and see if I can see it out the rear-view window, but I'm not at the car right now; can you see the raised spoiler out the rear-view window? I have a '95 Cab.

It should go up around 50mph and back down below 8mph.
I can see the top lip of mine in the rear view mirror, but I know other people say they cannot see theirs, so I guess it depends on how tall you are and how you have your seat positioned. Another way to check is to get it up over 50, so it should raise, then drive by a building with large glass windows, so you can see your reflection. OR if you can position the car correctly, you can sometimes see your shadow (must be done early or late)
Or you could simply have someone follow you.
Another option might be to put something on the grill with a clip that is tall so you can see it in your mirror. I was thinking one of those cellular antennas, but I am not sure how you would do it temporarily in the event you don't want to keep it there.
If you are having problems with the automatic raising feature, sometimes the module connections get loose. I have a tie wrap around my module to hold it snug, otherwise the auto feature soes not work.
If you are not the original owner, it could also be that a previous owner disabled the auto feature, which a lot of people do to prevent the constant up and down movement. That mod is a simple disconnect of some of the pins on the module, so it is easy to check.

I can see it in the rear view mirror if I crane my neck. I don't see the whole spoiler, but I can see the front edge of it when it is up. I can't see that edge when it is down.
Also, I had my wife follow me in her car and tell me at what speeds the spoiler extended and retracted.

Or go through a red light that has one of those cameras that will snap a quick photo of you .....you'll know in a few weeks time when you get a summons in the mail with a picture of your car. It happened to me unintentionally. Cost me a Benjamin in Albuquerque

I can see the lip of the spoiler in the rear mirror, and hear it retract. Or, look in the mirror at the car behind you... the husband is generally explaining to his wife what is happening
