Default Just bought 1st 993!!

I have owned 3 Porsches and still own 2: 996 turbo, 911 SC. I've just bought my first 993!

1997 Carrera Guards Red/ Black. RUF 18's, fabspeed header-back, RS suspension setup, motor sound. Perfect shape!

I'm thinking about doing a few mods such as: euro turbo front bumper, RS steering wheel, MY02's, Pole Positions.

What do you guys think? Or perhaps what wheels would look good on the car? I'm keeping the Rufs but I don't want to use them as a daily driver since I live in Houston, home of the worst roads in America.

congrats, she looks great! I'd say definiely keep the RUFs for fairer conditions, a lot of guys here like using the factory turbo twists for DD'ing. I personally like the oem 996 5-spokes if I were to use the 993 as my daily, but I don't drive mine that often anymore.

Thanks! Can't wait to see how these wheels look in person, but yea I like the 5 spokes for a simpler clean look.

i remember that car from the ebay auction. the previous owner did a fantastic job of visually presenting that car in the auction. good to see the car wind up in the hands of a enthusiast. car looks fantastic - love the stance and rufs.

Yea the car has 129,000 miles which is high but I had a ppi done at Suncoast Porsche on Tuesday and they said the only issue was that the case was shaping a bit of oil because too much oil was put in during the previous oil change and the ac needs a recharge, both of which are easy fixes for me.

Looks very clean. Love Guards Red, but I'm a little bias.

I saw that one on Ebay, nice car, seller sounds good. I use REDCARPET Transport to bring my 991 from SC to MIAMI. Great service, call Doug 1-602-428-6875 or 602-396-6001 charge me USD 800 to bring a car from SC to Miami in closed transport. Yours should be less.

BTW I saw it was listed for 29k, do you mind telling us you closed it at? I still looking for the right 993 for me, thanks.

Congratulations! She's a beauty. I would stick to your plan and get the MY'02s. They look great, in my opinion, and they are some of the lightest wheels you can get for your car.

Thanks for the info! After looking at it I went ahead and gave up 29k. I've been searching for months and got a little impatient and after the car checked out, I thought why the hell not.
