Default Help with paint code

OK, another paint code question, but with a twist. The accent color on my car is Steel Grey, which is 61W. I want to paint my alternator fan,and thought I would get a can from PaintScratch.com,since they mixed a can of Vesuvius for me. Thid obviously has them stumped,as they say they can not do anything with the code 61W,even though you can plug it into the Glasurit website. They say they need PPG or DuPont color codes.
Does anyone happen to know the codes for either?

Thanks,
Emerald

Emerald,

I have been searching wheel colors and remember this post (thread #14):
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-turb...ne-wheels.html

Looks like he sprayed 61W on some wheels, perhaps he can point you in the right direction.

PORSCHE 61W STAHLGRAU X4168 Effect Bumper, they also spray this color on Cayenne bumper covers.

Hope that helps.

Hi - were you able to use that formula from Geolab to get Steel Grey paint from PPG? Any info is appreciated. And pictures too!

Thanks

WOW.... a thread from 2013 coming back to haunt me

I actually decided to not paint the wheels. I couldn't bring myself to mess with the look of the LM's. I did reverse mount the centers on the rear, and they look awesome.

Hey Rudy,

My car is up at my painters getting a couple scratches fixed. She picked up a couple blemishes in the final assembly and break in stage, and I wanted her to look perfect for spring. I will ask what he used for all my stahlgrau trim.
