a little update for 2014,
a picture of the first start-up taken yesterday.
I was able to get around to installing my leather Recaro Pole Positions late last month.
Also, I received this in the mail the other day. I figured the finish of this crest is much better suited for the car as the bronze didn't match anything else on the exterior.
a couple more crappy iPhone pics
Happy New Years everyone

nice seats, I love mine. They are amazing in the corners with the high bolsters. Long drives can be alittle firm and getting in and out is a bit of a task but they more than make up for it in the corners.
what else do you have planned for the interior? Are you going with the rsr doorcards? any rear seat removal instore?
do you have any pics of the wheel rebuild?
great colour choice.
will you extend the wing center?

I have a couple of pictures from when we took apart the wheels and re-assembled them, but I'll have to dig through my files to find them.

I was able to dig up a few pictures after we installed the new lips to the 3 piece Kinesis wheels (Thanks again to Thatcher for helping me out). The new setup/fitment is spec'd out at 18x9 +25 up front and 18x12 +5 in the rear with a staggered 245/315 tire combination on Toyo R888's. I am currently trying to figure out what size spacer I will need up front to bring the wheels and tires out to match up with the rear (which has absolutely no rubbing ). I have an 18mm spacer sitting in my garage right now, but I don't think the front tire will clear the front bumper/lip.
Also, was able to get the new hood crest installed last night. Ran into a few issues, including one of the studs breaking off of the crest, but I was able to work around it. I like the way the crest doesn't break away from the color scheme of the entire car.

So I'm thinking about painting my fender rivets silver (instead of the current black) so that they will stand out more in contrast to the blue paint, drawing more attention to detail towards the fender flares. What do you guys think? I'm only thinking about doing this because I've noticed that in pictures, sometimes it is a bit difficult to tell that the car even has clubsport flares installed. Y/N ?

Great looking wheels my friend. Thanks for posting those, they really compliment your thread
I think silver would solver. Which fasteners have you used in this application?
I am thinking of overflairing my personal 993 aswell and im looking at different options.

I looked at a few different options, including some fancy fasteners that were pretty pricey. In the end, I just went with standard rivets for the "race car" look. I also didn't want anything that would protrude too far from the flares as I have a tendency to rip skin while washing the car when I'm not being careful (happened to be multiple times while washing my S2000 with a dry carbon GT spoiler and nuts & bolts holding the uprights in place). I will probably paint the rivets sometime over the weekend and see if I like the way it looks.

I would just paint the rivets with plasti-dip the first time around. If you like the look, you can just go back and make it permanent. But if you hate it... Paint is going to be a b**** to remove.
