I had the complete motor sound airbox and exhaust cans on my car along with a spare set of stock exhaust cans. I vacillated between the IIs and IIIs until I road in cars with both. The IIs were nice but I thought the IIIs have more of a growl, with nice crackle and pop on deceleration. My 82SC has SSIs with a nice Dansk muffler that doesn't drone and that was pretty loud and don't think the Stage IIIs in the 993 are any louder. So I decided on the IIIs and happy that I did so. They're quiet enough when backing out of the garage and through the neighborhood but best of all my wife approves of the sound!

I am very happy with the II's as well, heard the 3's this summer on a 993 cab and they were just too much for me. I get lots of compliments on the sound from neighbors. Two streets over there is an R8 v10 with a very aggressive aftermarket exhaust and he has become public enemy #1 this summer.

Two brothers here in town have Lambo's, a yellow Gallardo, and a metallic orange Murchilago(however it's spelled) roadster. Both have Tubi exhausts-yellow one does anyway, and are crazy loud when deep in the pedal. The roadster, is crazy, crazy, crazy...
When I'm two cars behind either of them in traffic, I can bearly hear my Stage lll's over their exhaust note.
me likey!

It's a great sound but I gotta admit when he starts it up at 6am to head out to work i am no longer a fan. It's his daily driver all year long not just a weekend toy
