How is this even a "versus"? Purely a money play? I'd take something built by the factory that has historical significance. Though I'll submit that there's very little under $500K fitting that description anymore...... Oh well, at least I got to enjoy a few vicariously.

I really just like how Magnus Walker does his thing his way. I like that and am doing my thing in a much less skilled manner.
Having said that, I don't want either. It is a hobby for me when I do it myself and not when I buy someone else's completed project. Never mind how awesome it in fact is.
And $300k? Forget that ridiculousness.

I would rather take a 97 C4S...strip it down and do a full restoration with new running gear,re-geared transmission, new engine, optioned and painted the way I want it......but that's just me.

if i won the lotto...it's a no brainer. the singer is on ANOTHER level. however, i prefer the looks of the 993. in terms of beauty and proportion i don't think anything porsche has produced before or since can touch it. regarding walker?.... as others have said, i enjoy and respect what walker has/is doing. i use both as inspiration for what intend to do with mine, when time and funding permit.

Ridiculous comparison. Singer is building handmade/bespoke/ridiculously detailed vehicles. MW is building something anyone can build for well under $100K and somehow getting $300K because he is some sort of celebrity. Love both of them however

Thanks for the opinions, guys. The results are quite conclusive that there is a stong preference for the sewing, er, Singer. I don't really know that much about the Singer, except visual, and have seen a few of the MW videos. So, this was a good into to the basic DNA of the Singer, and how it compares, or not, to the Walker.
How can you say such a thing, Ryan! They are both Porsches, and their names rhyme!![ooops](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon501.gif)
Absolutely, this thread was my first foray into that.

Walker for me, love the old school feel about his work and style. Singer craftsmanship and attention to detail really impresses but the authentic Walker approach to parts and old school design would be the deciding factor for me.

The Singer to me is just silly. I'm sure it is a great car, and if one were given to me and I could sell it for 300K, I would do just that (after driving it a few hundred miles). I wouldn't buy one of Walker's hot rods for north of 100K. I would put 200+K in my pocket and buy a 993tt like the one I recently sold with enormous regret....if I was this dumb for most of my life I would be living in a cardboard box.
