Default Classic car Insurance

Im looking for a classic car insurance company that writes stated value policies? Im having a little difficulty because I dont have a perfect driving record. Any one have suggestions? I have been turned down by Haggerty, chubb and have a call into Leland West.

Thanks

Take a defensive driving class then reapply?

I did in the past 3 years. I have one accident and one claim on the car in question. They are very picky. The claim was a comprehensive claim, my x-mechanic damaged the car while at his shop.

I have three Porsches insured with Leland West. Their coverage is provided by American Family Home Insurance Company. I suspect that CHUBB is pretty finicky about their customers. I also have a couple of old cars insured thru Condon & Skelly. They insure thru Ironshore Indemnity. They all want to know about car storage facility, miles driven, photos, and, of course, driving record......

Good Luck!!

American Modern had the best rates the last time I checked. I have been with them for 6 years and they are great to work with.

You can try Heacock Classic www.heacockclassic.com
For my cars the premium is 20% less than Hagerty and with quarterly payments.

I found Hagerty very unpleasant when i made a claim for hail damage - and very reluctant to pay up.
Yet their web site is all warm and fuzzy about your pride and joy.

I have Liberty Mutual on all my cars including the 993. Regular coverage for the 993 was cheaper for me than any of the specialty insurers listed above. I tried them all. Go figure.

Liberty Mutual -- do you have agreed value on the 993?

And what is it?
