Rodrigo - Yes, that is the part that I am looking for. I hope to use part of that to fix the broken bracket on the front of my center console. Talk with you tomorrow.

And the Rothsport shifter is in. I think it matches up well with the parking brake.

Very interesting fellas. I for one would like to lose some the interior fluff as well. Keep the ideas coming!

Default 993 Center console fix

BIG Thank you to Bola64 (Rodrigo) for sending me the remainder from his 993 center console mod!

I was able to cut out the broken bracket and cut the remainder to fit. And of course I had the opportunity to use plumber's ABS cement...

What I had to work with. Original console and replacement piece.

Love the exposed look. I would just put a simple rubber boot cover the shifter hole and LEAVE The hand brake mechanism alone.

Pure mechanical goodness!!!

If you are referring to my revised interior, I have re-installed the rubber shifter boot. I do want to cover the parking brake cables, probably with carpet for the short term, but it really needs some sort of plate to keep the cables from rubbing, but otherwise I intend to keep the handle exposes as is.

Where did you move your OBD connector too? I'm toying with deleting the center console also..

Mine is just shoved up under the dash. Guess I'll have to find it for the next smog check.

You want to talk cheesy….996 defines it. The interior is cheap and looks like a old Ford Taurus…. They didn’t get it right until the 997.
