There wasn't a made in china on box but who knows. Might just be a faulty pump. I thought it was a little to loud right out of the box.

I had a similar experience with Subaru. Went through 2 "OEM" fuel pumps at 20% of dealer cost until I ponied up $500 for genuine part. Each one left me dead on the road - no problem since.

Now I won't put anything but genuine parts on my car. Only 2 years ownership but I'm happy with my decision so far.
