... same for this 1957 Denzel 1300 SS Roadster Chassis No. DK151:
Last night for dinner party & today for lunch.
Only in Monterey would you run into these rarities day after day

After dinner earlier in the week, we walked to a friend's 911 to find a gaggle of happy kids examining his ride. I heard them gushing, "Blue!" "Nice car, mister." "Wowwww."
We couldn't help but chuckle at the cute kiddo who said it was the best car in town because it had a unicorn
When he started it, the straight pipes got the attention of the adults who suddenly LUVed it, too

I crossed paths with exotics like Singer's "Dubai" 911 & the Denzel Roadster multiple times, but only saw this C4S once. Its owner's a RLer friend who, like me, was visiting from out-of-state all week. Only 1 brief sighting in his 993 as I left the Baja Cantina & he pulled into The Quail's Porsche Zentrum
It's hard to imagine it anywhere else, but you can be busy for 6 days straight at car activities in Monterey yet never see someone you're looking for.
It's impossible to do everything that's available in Car Week. I keep trying, but return each year 'cuz I missed something

...then Monterey should be rated M, for Mature audiences only
Right on, bro.
Just 1 of many delicious details on my friend's 911, & why it was on TV during Monterey Car Week (more to follow).
His wheels rock
Don't you have a date with a Fisker?
The blue beast at last month's Niello Concours Preview (near Sacramento, CA):

Speaking of TV: during LOTA, Dean was interviewed (again) for PCA's YouTube channel.

Besides taking glassware home from Tuesday's Carmel Concours, Dean earned a trophy Friday

2011's interviews:
From 2011's "Legends" thread:
at Legends, PCA's President &/or his Executive Director were standing next to Big Bird 90% of the time. They were in love.
Alvin's the one that goes to Speedy to grab a magazine during this vid. He was excited to see the same car he'd read about in Excellence parked next to Big Bird, & happy I brought a copy of that issue.

2011 rewind
This was the 3rd time in 4 years that my wife & I have attended from out-of-state. In 2011, we parked on the opposite of Big Bird from this year's Class P3A winner, Andy C.
Those of you that were at this year's LOTA may have recognized AC in the video & AutoBlog.com's above photo. It was good to see a returning competitor triumph this year. He's put in his time, & the judges agreed his clean machine definitely deserved the big trophy

That's a superb color on that 959. And the reflection on that wing - my mirror doesn't shine that well!
Do the headlight washers on that car extend up? Or flip up? Or something like that?
I spy a tasty B5 RS4 (with a cargo net!) and a TT-RS too.
Keep the pics comin!
