Over Labor Day weekend, I received an e-mail from the official event photographer for McCall's Motorsports Revival, J. Bushnell Photography.
Jeff posted his gallery yesterday on jBushnellPhotography.com: "2013 McCall Motorworks Revival" <-- Click for more pics.

Gordon McCall's patriotism is unmistakable -- opening with the National Anthem, celebration of airpower, immense flag hanging from the rafters, etc.
Through his Motorworks Revival & The Quail's Motorsports Reunion, he raises significant donations for California Highway Patrol's 11-99 Foundation. In addition to other great goals, the Foundation supports CHP widows & families during their most tragic times.
But Britain wouldn't be out-done...

From the motorcycle & poster above, you might not be surprised to learn Gordon McCall's a Member of the Board of Directors for the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation, assisting widows and orphans of CHP officers killed in the line of duty.
Likewise, he's the Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus for the Naval Postgraduate School Cycling Club.
Both titles hint towards his patriotism, but are also nods towards another passion:
Besides 4-wheeled & 2-winged vehicles, Gordon LUVs two-wheels, whether powered by gasoline, electric, or humans.
The E-Tracker I posted earlier got some interest, & I just received a Private Message with more questions from another Rennlister.
So here's 1 more photo for the Vintage Electric Bicycle enthusiasts:

Regardless how much I LUV cars & planes, there was 1 creation that couldn't be ignored.
It was an incredible custom motorcycle that my friends described with words like alive/ glowing/ liquid.
It was amazing & had an intrinsic presence like nothing I've ever seen.
Under normal lighting it seemed like it had a spotlight on it, though a bike might seem lost next to some of the world's most exotic cars.
The Tavax 2011V was created by Ken Tabata of Yao City, Osaka, Japan. A guiding vision during its 4-year build was to channel the natural, fluid motion of a cheetah at full pace. His artistic efforts definitely communicate an organic motion.
Ken's work won the American Motorcycle Dealer's World Championship of Custom Bike Building, a 4-day motorcycle showcase in the heart of motorcycle-mecca Sturgis, SD. The championship awards ceremony was the culmination of 32 competition events across 20 countries. Officials estimate that >1 million motorcycle enthusiasts attend each year.
I'm glad Ken & his Tavax attended Gordon's Jet Center Party.

I can't say enough THANKS to Mr. McCall for selecting a 993, plus giving my wife & I the opportunity to attend a one-of-a-kind event, mixing 2 of my favorites: high-performance cars & planes.
Kudos to Jeff L., Felicia, the Singer crew, J. Bushnell, & many others for the parts they played in sharing the fun.
We enjoyed old & new friends while everyone soaked in the incredible engineering feats that surrounded us, whether mechanical or social -- the event is a miracle to behold. What's more: with respect for the other Jet Center operators who support the Party, Gordon's volunteers have the entire airport back to normal operations by the next morning as if by magic.
You may not be able to tell from the photos, but so much goes on at once that I missed meeting some important folks I planned to rendezvous with, including 1 superstar RLer. (...but at least the camera caught him. Did you check out Jeff's gallery yet?)
That nearly sums up coverage for Wed night's McCall Motorworks Revival ... for now.
Time to cover Thu's fun
