Default How Good is North Hollywood Speedometers

Hi
I have to give credit where credit is due,

I had a friend travelling to the USA from Australia, drop a speedometer into North Hollywood Speedometers and Clock Co from a 993, for new face, bezel, glass and gears, plus service and calibration.
I rang them first thing Australian morning a few hours after the speedometer was delivered, to check if they had received it and if there are any issues and I am told the speedometer is already finished and ready to pick-up.

And I was worried if the speedometer would be finished and ready to pick-up later this month on the return of my friend.

I was amazed, is that service, we don't get service like this in Australia,
you guys are so lucky to have such a great company on your doorsteps.

Thanks,
Very happy 993 owner

They've worked on more than (100) 993 clocks for me since '06. No issues.

I originally tried to replace my own gears, but when I put a nick on the housing while trying to take it apart I said no way. Sent it to No Hollywood and got it back in a week, including shipping to Nashville. It was perfect except for the nick I put in it.

Besides, Andreas uses them!

It is good to know that they do quality work, but they should, because they aren't cheap. That is a good thing because I'd rather pay for top quality work then overpay for mediocre work.

I think the OP's comment was lost in translation - When an Aussie says "How good is....." he is not actually asking a question but is actually saying "the experience I had with .... was good"...

I read it as , "owwwww goooood...izz..."

Just realized it is probably impossible to type an Aussie accent...

All in the punctuation:

It is time to eat, Grandma!

It is time to eat Grandma!

A comma saved her life.

Hopefully not the same one!

It is time to eat, Grandma!

Hi Steven (trophy)
Looks like your correct in reading this post, and comments
the only saving grace for me is I made the comment without a question mark at the the end,
so this would make one think I am not asking a question.

Interesting the difference between countries with the Queens English.

Maybe I make it a generation thing,
could have said
"How sick is Hollywood Speedometers",
now that does not make sense to me.

For you guys in the USA "I am very impressed with Hollywood Speedometers service".

Thanks

Has anyone had their gauge needles refreshed with fluorescent paint? I'm tempted to DIM.

Hey Neil,

I am coming home in December this year, cannot wait to get some of my Aussie accent back. If we end up in Sydney I'll shoot you a PM...

They do great work. Refreshed my factory vdo from a defender and kept the original casing. Looks better than new and updated with new internals.
