Ed-- Big thanks for the invitation to meet up today, & sharing today's driving pics.

Debbie & Sapphire are both gorgeous gals to be proud of.

No action pics of 'Sapphire' posted here yet, so below is a rolling shot:
Notice she left Speedy's mouth agape, with her tongue hanging out

Ok, Looks like I blew it!! I tried to rally at 5 AM but too many lost hours of sleep over the past few weeks just caught up to me. I'll be there next time though.

I actually took our 5 month old lab pup to Lake Wohlford on Saturday for some swim and fetch time.

Glad you guys had a great time; did you throw it the Mesa Grande loop as well?

Nick

Yep, we did the full tour Nick, ~100 miles.

I should've been sleeping in too, I'm way behind.

Ed,

Thanks for posting and the great photos. We did that Palomar climb on our bikes a couple of springs ago and stopped at the same spot on top. Cold day, I think there was still some snow up there in late March.

Sorry I missed this drive and the SD concours this weekend. I'm always last to the top, but I love the drive anyway.

Went to Vegas and was literally just getting to bed about the time you guys were heading out.

I did do some fun driving though on Sat afternoon, a group of us raced exotics at Vegas Int Raceway. I climbed behind the wheel of a Mclaren MP4-12C for 5 laps of a pretty cool road course set up in the infield of the raceway. Awesome fun.

We were in a sovereign nation for the higher speeds, weren't we? Doesn't the Indian Reservation count as such?

That is Bill, Vida drove the Ferrari, and they switched for the ride home. Always fun to see which two cars they bring to these runs.

As opposed to their own course outside the track? Had someone ask me about what they were all about recently, and unless I missed something on their site there was no mention of running anything but their own course.

Reservation was one place you absolutely wanted to avoid around Phoenix. More than one guy left the premises of Firebird for a "test run" down Maricopa Road back in the Olden Days, meeting severe financial consequences.

Considering one? A friend has one, uses it extensively (including track use), and has a Scuderia (and Countach!?) he's compared it to. He's given us extensive feedback on our local list, and I'm sure would let me share with someone who's serious about getting one.
