Default 993TT for $59K

993TT for $59K this one seems kinda low priced, what's wrong with it?

96k miles softening the price maybe?

All in all I think the turbos are a deal right now compared with what S's are fetching. While I'm happy for everyone who HAS an S, I can't help thinking, for someone in the market, the turbos are not that much farther away...

well...high mile's for starters, and to say nothing about those wheels.

Looks to be in overall nice shape, wonder how comprehensive the records are?

Granted, I don't pay lots of attention to the TT market...but for a 95K mile car, the money seems kinda strong to me.

Made a little investigation... and I would be very careful if I had to buy from him...

The guy tells me that : the car has good history and im not aware of any accidents. It looks like the front and hood may have been repainted due to stone chips. You can call me at 919-923-5609.

Then, a search with phone number brings me this comment from someone on Pelican forums in December 2005 : "Let me state up front I have never had a single transaction with Mr. Geoffrey ********. From what I have seen on this board he has scammed a number of people and if he hasn’t settled up with everyone that cares to get their money back ".

Finally, I found this :
***
Geoff Watticker (Chapel Hill, NC) re-porsche (ebay) Fraud Alert
Porsche Cars For Sale - Pelican Parts Technical BBS - forums.pelicanparts.com

Pelicans, this guy is a complete fraud and yes he is on ebay as Re-porsche aka Christopher Frazier, who he calls his partner. I was dealing with him to buy a

1973 911T and the car was a short wheel base car with no title just a Bill of Sale or so he says. Car had heater box sliders on inside rockers and SWB 1/4 vent windows along with a VIN that does not correspond with year of car. Watch out. This guy is cold and quite calculating. He sells Porsche parts on ebay and who knows how many other sites. Ice running through the veins! I am reporting him to DMV in North Carolina and Chapel Hill Police/Detectives. Beware!!! He lives at 1021 Christopher St Chapel Hill, NC 27517 reachable at (919) 923 5609. He has already defrauded many other people on this forum and others. Don't get caught in his web of deception and fraud schemes.***

And here's a 2004 fraud alert I found on rennlist :

***I dont have a lot of experience with this site, so I am not sure where to go with this. I am really ticked over an experience that occured with one of the members or lurkers (not sure which) that I would like to enlighten others about.

Several weeks ago, I posted a part request in the Parts Wanted section. A few days later, I received an email from a Geoff Wattiker of Chapel Hill, NC stating that he had the part laying around his garage and would be happy if I took it off his hands.

He shipped me the part and I mailed him a check. Few weeks pass and I never receive the part. I send several emails and finally he responds claiming that the part was put out for UPS and he thinks that the garbage men picked it up by mistake. He says he is sorry for the trouble and says that he is mailing me a check to refund my money. Never arrives.

I go back and forth with emails over a period of weeks before I decide to find out who this guys really is. To make a long story short, it turns out that he is a college student at the University of North Carolina. And discussions with the UNC police reveal that it is likely that he was praying on websites such as Rennlist looking for suckers such as myself that would not be suspicious of what seemed like another member and would be likely to part with $50-100 pretty readily. Investigation pending.***

Interesting.

The pictures look like they are taken at a pricey neighborhood, but if you look closely, it is a boat ramp IN a neighborhood.

Buyer beware.

I emailed the guy through eBay.

BigMike: Care to comment on all of the FRAUD alerts that are posted about you on Pelican Parts forum?

re-porsche: Id take it with a grain of salt. Our feedback is perfect. What's more telling 100% with real, high dollar transactions or anonymous Internet trash talk?

100% positive feedback on ebay means little now adays...that number can be disputed, and manipulated by a seller. Pure bull****.

I would tend to believe NUMEROUS enthusiest forum's over ebay "real" feedback

i'm in the market looking for a S. yeah $ to $ the Turbo is not much higher so it's always a debating to myself why don't i just get the Turbo. i guess i like the NA motor & wingless look better. i don't need the turbo speed because if i want to go faster i have other cars to drive. but the $ difference sure makes me think twice.
