Default An Easy Fix - A First Ever For Me!

Dunno how often this happens, but . . . on our way home from the track this past Monday, the green car's pax side wiper quit working. This presented itself as it was raining. I was freaking, as this green car in one year has presented with more tedious issues than the blue car that I have had for years now. So, being one of those "always try the easiest and cheapest fix first" types, I opened up the little "door" to the adjusting bolt. It was all corroded. So I sprayed some anti-corrosive (electronic cleaner, actually), followed by white Li grease. I did this because at first the bolt didn't want to move. After I sprayed it, the bolt was loose even before I hit it with a wrench. I adjusted the wiper to where it needed to be on the windshield, then carefully tightened it back up.

It worked. I'm not messin' with you guys! The wiper went from not working to working perfect with this simple, quick fix. I have NEVER seen ANYTHING go that easy on any car I have ever owned. Maybe my luck is looking up? Anyway, just thought I would share in case anybody else has this issue pop up. Hope I helped to add to the library of knowledge. My luck there is already a thread about it. If so, exCUSE me! Lol.

Stuff like this is always nice to read about, at least for me. I typically end up checking the hardest, most outlandish answer first and then feel dumb when I realize I forgot to plug something in.

Not yet, Ed . . . not a lot of time in the day . . . but it is probably just that the actuator seized. Gonna take door panel off and unhook the link from actuator to door latch to see if I have at least manual operation. Wish I had more time . . . or do I ???
