Buyer reached out via PCA Mart.. I think he may hang out here, but is more of a Pelican guy? He referenced Pelican in our conversation. In any event, he is a long term Porsche guy... For the most part, the selling experience was really great. I got to speak with a lot of like minded folks... I think if more people had the chance to see the car in person, the car would have been sold much quicker.
I'm really looking forward to trying out my first water cooled Porsche. the gt3 is the only car I'd really consider.. and since I still will have a 993 to satisfy my air cooled needs... I think this is the right move for someone who has finite garage space.
New to me gt3 is an 07, black on black with 9800 miles. Previous owner bought it new in 07 and has babied the car since day 1. I helped him find the car out of Porsche of Beverly Hills when the car was "unobtainium", and for that help, I got right of first refusal on the car. He's decided to get a long hood, so my time has come. I plan to keep the gt3 and the SY993 in the fleet for a long time. Pics to come when I get the car next week.
Thanks again to all those who have shared kind words, and those who showed interest in the car. This place really is great... and I've got to meet (albeit virtually) some really great folks!
I bought this car from Bill in Tahoe a month ago and drove it down to Los Angeles. Two weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to buy back my much loved 73E from the previous buyer I sold it to last year, so I did.
The Viper Green car is now on the block again, so if any of you are interested, please PM me. I have about $42K in the car, so that is what I'd like to get for it. It's an amzing car, well built thanks to Larry in Texas, and it's ready to go. I have it stored in my hanger nearby so if any of you (Los Angeles) locals want to see it, it's parked at Whiteman airport in Sun Valley. I don't live too far away, so I could meet any of you there.
The original ad tells the story. It's an amzing color and turns heads wherever it goes. Very nice car! The only reason I'm selling is that I have a 964, and now my 73E, so 3 P-cars are one too many.
Beautiful car, I'm glad it is out of my price range! Here is an important question, did you buy it with the BBS LMs? If so would you sell them separately?
Thanks for the kind words. It's a beautiful car and will give the next owner plenty of grins. The BBS LM's came with the car. Larry built a great RS! Please PM me with any specific questions.
Ugh.....this car is for sale again?? I keep killing myself over buying this thing. It's AWESOME! Unfortunately I just bought a 4th car in January, 2014 (and only have a 3 car garage as it is). Otherwise I'd be buying it tonight
Chris car sold by Larry for $35K you say you have $42 in it can you tell me what additional work you did?
Thinking of selling my 95 993 Race Car to fund a special street 993 this might work.
Thanks
Rich
