Default Help sourcing wire mesh

I'm traveling abroad and having a hard time sourcing the wire mesh in my aftermarket turbo tail after a fan blade mishap.

Needs to be the height and width of the tail opening at least, and looking for thick enough to be rigid but not so thick to be heavy. Home depot seems to only have in 6" strips.

Thoughts?

There must be a metal supply house in your area. They really are pretty much anywhere. They'll usually cut to size, or close, and be 1/4 the price of HD, with more choices. Expanded metal is one term/type fr a possibility, besides mesh, and is available in a lot of sizes.

Looks like McMaster-Carr has a good selection. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-mesh-filters/=nu6kwr

They have stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel-chromium options; just pick your opening size.

Thx. I'll check again. They seemed big holes. The challenge is sourcing for delivery while I'm away.

The hexagonal perforated hole would look great.

I've used McNicols as a supplier for many architectural applications in decorative panels, custom light fixtures, to return and supply air grilles. The possibilities are endless, never thinking there would be an application in our 911s.
