Carmel / Monterey ...Who's going?
It's getting to be that time of year again
3 Weeks until we make our annual trek up HWY1 to Carmel and the whole Monterey Peninsula for 4 days of just total car geek over-load.
The Mrs. and I will head out from San Diego early Thurs, Aug 15 & head home Monday the 19th.
Will be at Baja Cantina on Thurs night,.....drinking margaritas and wandering the parking lot while waiting for my table.
Friday: early to Legends of The Autobahn event for a few Spatens, then to the Quail (first year having tix to the Quail,...hope it lives up to the hype.)
Sat: Mecum auction at Del Monte golf course and Ferrari event at Barnyard/farmyard/corral (whatever its called shopping mall) Evening drinks at Carmel Hyatt
Sun: cruise around with no particular place to go, probably lunch at Spanish Bay.
Monday head down HWY 1.
We'll be staying at the same little overpriced place for about the 5th year straight now, 5-6 blocks south of Ocean and 1 block east of the beach. If you see my cab give a wave or say hello.

I'll be there... One of my favorite things to do in the summer each year.
You should head over to Laguna Seca on Sunday for the races - not to be missed.
Wave if you see a black F430 Scuderia....

Wish I was going. After 6 straight years of attending. We are trying to go to F1 instead or the ALMS race at COTA in September. Wish I could go to them all!
You are going to have a blast!
One Suggestion, Sat or Sun, go to the Historic races at Laguna Seca! Amazing Porsches doing what they do best!

We have been attending the Monterey Historics car week event for some over 12 years now and wouldn't mist it for anything, still staying at the same Timeshare place we own every year. We try to attend all the fabulous events, just need to figure out wich 911 i am going to drive up in.....

Will be there with family the entire week. Look for my car in Carmel and legends (looking quite pitiful next to jpp's epic ride). Also participating in the Monterey rally Wednesday which is great.

I've got an ailing parent this summer ... so my week has been trimmed. I'm coming in Thursday and out Saturday, staying with family in Carmel to stay 'in the loop of communication' ... 
C'mon .. let's be real here, my ride will probably be sneered at by the Anorak's and sent down to sit with some Glockler .. 
I for one, am looking forward to meeting you and seeing your beautiful car and your father's Dishtop MB!
And that goes for anybody who's coming to Legends on Friday, if your near my car, yell out 'JP' and flag me down, I'll be wearing an orange Nike cap .. I'm sure I'll be so paranoid about leaving the Speedster sitting in an open field with a bunch of strangers that I'll be acting VERY odd ...
