Default The right way to fix the dreaded door strap failure

The guys at Premier Sportscar Service in Las Vegas just fixed my doorstrap clicking issue (basically the weld failing). Attached are pics of the right way to get the job done! (I did see the earlier post). If this is repair gives you any indication of how these guys fix things, then you know why I think this is one of the best Porsche service shops in the country. Here's the link if you need it: http://www.premiersportscarservice.com/

Nice job. Interesting mine is underway too, except going in from behind the Pillar. It is like an orthopaedic having different techniques to fix a knee or hip!

You will be happy with that operation anyway. Hoping I get the same outcome.

Yes, that is a proper repair to an issue that receives far too many Band-Aid fixes...

So your fix is coming from the inside of the car?

In case anyone is wondering, the massive dose of 3M paper is to protect the car from the sparks etc while they did the welding. As for the paint, it looks a little orangish in the picture, but in person, the red paint that they did is absolutely a flawless match. I guess they had a guy airbrush it, but you can not tell there was any work done there.

There's nothing worse than opening the door of a 993 and seeing a "half-a$$" welding repair job! This is some stellar effort to make the repair fade into the car.
