Hong Kong, where to buy RUF/Fabspeed strut brace?
Hello to the Hong Kong chapter
Does anyone know where I can get a RUF or Fabspeed type strut brace for a 993 here in Hong Kong? I am guessing it will be impossible, but you never know.
Thanks
Berni

The question is, what is Berni doing in Hong Kong?
For the strut brace, buy it direct from Ruf in EU, it is 220 euros
If they don't ship to HK, I could order it and ship it to you, but will have to pay the 19.6% taxes here, you know.

Hello Geolab!
I have been living in Hong Kong for the past 2 1/2 years. When I go back to the UK I work on my car and now the engine is back in and running I also het to drive it! I was thinking that if I could easily get a brace I would take it back with me to the UK on the 19th of this month, but it is not so important. There are many 993s in Hong Kong so I thought it might be possible. I was looking at the design of the RUF vs the Fabspeed and actually I think I may try and find a Fabspeed one. It will have to wait until the trip after this one though because as usual I have left it too late.
All the best, and thank you for your kind offer!

Pleasure!
I would beg you consider the perfect power one. Years after installing on my car, I still am amazed by the quality and fitness.
But for function, they all are the same, aren't they
I have an OEM one, I could send you for free if you want function only.
I will be back from vacation at the end of July

Hello Geolab
That is a very kind offer! I have not bumped into one locally yet so I may take you up on that and then pass it on the same way when I get one of the perfect power or fabspeed ones!
I hope you are having a good break. Mine starts at the end of the week.

Hey Berni
I am guessing that the cost of anything imported here will generally be at a premium, and you are probably better off trying to buy in Europe. Deffo quite a few 993s about.
Whereabouts are you in HK?

Hi Phil
I am in Tin Hau where I often see 993's. It drives me nuts I miss mine so much! How abouts you? Are you lucky enopugh to have a 993 here in HK? I am available for a beer to discuss 993/964's by the way!
All the best

Hi
The perfect power one looks really nice, but shipping is almost the same cost as the brace, and although I don't mind the cost of the brace I think the shipping is a bit rich.
GT9111, I would love to see your 993! What colour is it, I may have seen it already? Edit: I can see you have a 964. I used to have a 1989 C4 in slate grey. Great car, would still like to see yours!
