Amazing that someone thought that wing was worth the $7,038 that they paid for it as a factory option back in 1996.

I'm surprised MG is willing to work on a $11K mark up. Dealers make that on used Silverado's and Cadallic CTS's all day long.

Hey, it's the Aerokit I. At least you got the front splitters and rocker panels, too. That was probably the only factory wing option available for a NB back then.

Boy are tips unloved on this board, and almost solely by those in the US.

Just wait till you guys starting getting your AARP cards. You'll love them.

They do deal...however Joe the head sales guy cannot be trusted.

dealers are in the business of catching fish...they will patiently wait ALL DAY while hanging out w/ their buddies sipping lattes waiting for the "dumb" one to bite.
me? i prefer to buy directly from the owner so i can understand both vehicle history as well as deal with somebody who "cares" about the car as more than just a "sale."

I've noticed a marked jump in prices over the last 12 months. This must be due to the US economy starting to come back to life. Discretionary spending is on the up swing!
Also, the arrival of the larger 991, which drives itself, and all the other sports cars becoming less engaging to drive, there is a renewed interest in the 993 and other older Porsches.
I predict that 993 prices will climb with the US economy and good cars will be harder and more expensive to land.

I mean really, who can trust the information coming from any used car sales person? And let's say it "sells," I'm sure we'll hear some sort of story about how the buyer sold it back to MG and now they're selling it once again. Yes, I'm sure it will be sold very quickly. And there's no hint of any sarcasm or cynicism there.

Onami, I also almost pulled the trigger on this baby! But I had the same problem with the wing

Heck a dealer is asking $80k for a low miles c2s in white, just imagine how much they will ask for a TORQUOISE blue c2s

Assuming the owner paid anything for the option. Remember how slow selling these cars were when new? Especially tips? The only new Porsche I was ever tempted to buy was a leftover stripper white/black '96 that a local dealer out here picked up in a mass purchase of excess inventory in early '97. We were talking ~$49K, but as I'd just bought my one business it was absolutely stupid of me to do the deal.
