Default A/C Question Please

So, I just got my A/C serviced. Temp in MD has been very warm and super humid. After I got home, I noticed that one hose was cold to the touch and very sweaty. Is this normal and as expected on such a humid day? Thanks

Absolutely normal, just condensation of hot humid air on anything cold.

i too am having a/c issues, my symptoms are:
the a/c works sometimes, the compressor will kick on and turn off, i get that same condensation on one line, the other line is very hot to the touch.
sometimes, for no reason that i can make a connection to(engine temp, rpm, temperature outside) it will just blow air that is slightly cooler than outside air(which is hot being Miami).
was this happening to you?

i searched and found the complete guide to troubleshooting a/c here on rennlist, but if this can save me an afternoon's worth of work-i would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks,
Neil

I wish. While the yellow car is in the shop I'm relegated to GF's old Lancer with dead A/C. And it was 95F this week in Boston. That's the only reason I've even looked at this A/C thread

Neil, I have a feeling that either your servos could be going (fairly easy to check) you could be low on R134A, your CCU's fan could be dirty... and a bunch of other issues.

If you take the car to check pressure, be aware o the fact that 993's pressure on low and high side are much lower than in a normal car. But I'd start with pressure check first in any event.

That's the right set of tables AFAIK. I'd print them and bring to the shop.
