AKTUNG,
Just a little friendly advice...

Its sometimes better to sit quietly and be thought an idiot; than to open ones mouth, or hammer away at ones keyboard and remove all doubt.

Your posts, and their content speak for themselves. Think before you type and think again before you sit the "post" button. I'm jus sayin...

BTW, I dont use Amsoil and my car does not blow a puff of smoke at startup, even if its been sitting for two weeks...So much for the theory you were trying to support and promote.

Let your engine idle for ~30 seconds before you turn it off next time and see if that helps with your smoking?

Someone once said that the written word has no emotion until the reader gives it some. If my posts disturb you please feel free not to offer any comments. I am not trying to support any theory but it seems some here are. Just a little friendly advice. Have a good evening.

Your posts dont "disturb" me. I simply find them devoid of thought.

I tried to offer some advice re; your posts, and you rejected it...Your choice, and certainly par for your course.
Proof positive, you can lead a horse to water...

nuff said here.

Actually, they do, there are various factors that will affect this, oil viscosity, how much oil you have in the tank, how long the car sits etc. by the way my GT3 smokes much more that my 993. Little by little the oil comes down from the tank and fills the crankcase, some will eventually go by the rings and enter the combustion chamber and produce smoke at startup.

Regarding Amsoil I am convinced it's a pyramid scheme, complete BS and not based on scientific facts. Use oil recommended by the manufacturer and nothing else. On the track, Motul is a good choice because of their racing background.

The original question, yes, my cars both let out a puff of smoke on startup every once in a while. Definitely not all the time but occasionally. Very common from my experience.

As to the bun-fight the thread has turned into.......
