Default Rear seat delete mystery

We purchased this RSD a while ago, seller claimed had no idea from what 911 it was. I am trying to figure out what kind of RSD this is.

The top-plate is has these wingshaped extensions preventing it from fitting in a coupe 993 or 964. There are two narrow openings on the aft part of the toppplate for a rollcage maybe?

The frame and doors are original as are the brackets, part no's are correct. Not sure about the top-plate, any thoughts?

Any info is appreciated!

Looks like 968 Cab to me.
Edit: Nevermind, that's nothing like a 968 luggage dump. Might be 964 RS America. They're shaped a little different, and don't have the metal hoops.

If cutting off the extensions will cause it to fit and look good, Go for it!

If you end up not using it, I may be interested in it.

It looks like the version for the 964 RS America. The cutout slots could have been for a roll cage. I installed one in my 993 C2 coupe by lifting up the carpet on the edges and cutting off the 'wings'. It fit perfect, here is a photo of the plywood sections I removed and the final install in my 993.

I believe that the two narrow openings in the aft, top plate are for luggage tie-down straps.

The 'brackets' on the top (2 on each side) are for the luggage tie-down straps, so not sure why someone cut those large slots, they do not look original.

Given that you are in Europe, it was an option there = M419 option code for 964/993, so may have come from any type 911.

That's very useful info thanks! We tried to fit it in a 964 and 993, didn't fit obviously because of the "wings".

We sold a genuine M419 option RSD last year that didn't have the wings. I did some additional research and there is indeed only one version that has the wings and that is the RS America. If that is the case than it may be from one of the RS America's imported to Europe.

We sold this one to a customer and he returned it because it didn't fit his 964 Targa, so now we are trying to figure out what it is.

The slots are still a mystery then...

I'd agree they are probably there to fit around a roll cage. They don't quite look wide enough for a standard roll bar thickness to fit through though.

The one I bought was out of an RSA but didn't have those cutouts. I rebuilt the whole thing myself and deleted the tie down straps and middle divider.

Sweet....I want an all-black interior. One of these days, I am just going to start ripping out the cashmere carpet, so there will be no turning back

I think your interior looks fantastic with that contrasting black RSD!

The slots are just wide enough to fit support tubes of a half cage but not a standard fit 964 cage, must have been a custom cage of some sort.
