Default Nashville 993 Tie Rod Jig

The tie rod pinning jig is on its way to me. Anyone else want to do the mod? Maybe we can have a party!

Tie rod jig has arrived. Any interest from other 993 owners to pin their tie rods?

Hey Vince,

It has been a while. What's the advantage of this? This may be the only thing I haven't done to my car.

The tie rods have rubber inserts that can wear over time and lead to less responsive steeriing. By pinning the tiered, it eliminates the rubber flex. Explains more here //forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=415296&referrerid=71740

Thanks Vince,

It sounds like a pretty good idea. I have new tie rods,so not sure if it would be the same. The car is not running right now,but it is already on jack stands. I might give it a try when you are done. Let me know when you are doing it,and maybe I can lend a hand,if needed.

It might be a good idea to pin the old ones if you still have them. I'll let you know.
