Another vote for Interstate. I just picked this model due to multiple positive experiences. Ask me in a couple of years if the 30 bucks extra are worth it.

I still have mine installed from 4 or 5 years ago.

which model Interstate did you get e9stibi? I'm getting quotes, with a vent kit, for just under $200. Seems steep?

Interstate MTP-91. Direct fit and has the proper venting. Should be closer to $120. I've even seen them under $100 at Costco.
MTP= mega tron plus

Another MTP user here. Had it for 3 years now. This after I've ponied up for about 10 oem batteries from the dealer over the years.

Top to Bottom:
OEM ~45lbs (?)
MT47/H-5 size, cheapo EverStart ~30lbs (Interstate below is ~32lbs)
OEM RS ~25lbs (shipped dry @ 18lbs, haven't filled it yet)
All are fully interchangeable, easy weight savings depending on your needs / planned usage.

+2. I got it from a Firestone service center.

Yeah, that's crazy! This is what Firestone returned just by visiting their website and if I did some digging, I could probably find a $10 coupon somewhere.

Replaced my Interstate this spring after 13 years of faultless service.
This without a tender, lots of sub-zero winter driving, short trips and cold starts.
Replaced with another Interstate of course.

Ask for a Group 48 battery.

As stated earlier, Group 48 DURACELL made by East Penn is available at Sam's Club.

Yes, Alex (XLR8) was the one who lead me to East Penn which now makes the Duracell batteries. He's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to batteries!
