I'm in architecture school, I use 993 in my drawings as appropriate though( if im doing a nice house or something) My friends use 993 in their drawings too and I always laugh at them as they don't know how relatively rare 993 are , and in their drawings for a public high school, they drew a whole parking lot with like thirty 993 ... Even in a professional archi firm I am working at during summer is using 993 for our drawings. Good thing I have one at actual scale so I know how small it really is.
That's a common symbol used in designs, apparently, probably due to its small size. We looked at a couple of new home developments last year that had 993's in the garage. The garages were very tiny, and the car to scale, gives them the illusion of being bigger than they are.
Imagine a scale Suburban in the same space. The wagon is a misrepresentation of space, IMO.
