Nice C4S!
New engine mounts will improve shift action as well. You may notice under hard acceleration and deceleration that the shift lever moves back & forth - another sign of deteriorating mounts. Let us know if you have any other questions any time!

I tried to order Corteco mounts recently:
993-375-049-09
Engine Mount (2 per car, sold individually), 993 Carrera 4 (1995-98), 993 Turbo (1996-97)
Brand: Corteco
Based on RL search I understood that C4 mounts would work on a C2 I must be wrong as I received this message from from the seller:
"The engine mounts on your order show to be for the turbo, not the C2 cabriolet."
I replied that my understanding is that C4 mounts would fit C2.
And he came back with: "I would suggest going with WEVO C2 Semi-Solid Engine Mount, BLUE PILLOWS, each, 911 Carrera 2 (1990-98) which are a direct bolt in and cheaper at $164.00."
But I don't want to have to reinforce the engine carrier, and WEVOs are $164 each; the Cortecos are $92 each.
They said would make sure that the Turbo engine mount will fit the standard C2, and later wrote back, "I don't think these will fit a C2. If they would, the manufacturer would clearly state that, so they could sell more of them."
I could use some help in deciding which mounts (mine are both sagged) would be best on my 1995 C2 Cab, 6spd. The car is not tracked, 40k mi., and a little extra noise in the cabin won't bother me; vibrations that cause rattles will though.
Will the Corteco fit? RS? WEVO's?
Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,
I read ALOT about this, and nearly went crazy trying to decide. I wound up with the WEVO blacks, as have numerous others, WITHOUT re-enforcing the engine carrier, particularly for street driving. If you are tracking the car, you probably should think about doing the re-enforced carrier.
The RS mounts are a very similar, but slightly less NVH. Personally, I don't find the WEVOs harsh at all, but it really depends on what you are used to. If you want Mercedes comfort, the WEVOs aren't for you.
The best thing is to drive a car with each type and see for yourself what is for you.
Added benefit of the WEVOs is the ability to refresh with new pillows for $17.

I'm planning on ordering up the RS mounts in the near future for spring installation. . . just want to confirm the part # 964 375 043 81.
Any recommendation for a best source for them?

I haven't taken one apart so I would love to be wrong! Corteco sells aftermarket mounts in two versions; hydraulic and urethane. Unfortunately the 993 parts are no longer in the Corteco Vibration Control Catalog but if you compare the prices between their other hydraulic and rubber mounts...

I prefer less NVH right now from the motor mounts and these seem to fit the bill (plus, appear to be OEM parts for the 996)
I know this is an old thread but didn't see a newer one..
