Another vote for the Sumitomo HTR Z III, great value for the money.

Definitely go 225/45 up front. For street only, Sumi HTR Z IIIs would be fine; I'd bet the Conti DWs are good value for money too. But if you're tempted to get on the track, Direzzas. I have Toyo Proxes and they're great but more $$.

Sumis here as well. Haven't even put a 100 miles on them yet but so far so good.

I put some Sumitomo HTR Z3's on my car because they got great reviews on here. I was looking at the Hankook V12's, but Tirerack was having a great sale on the Z's, so that's what I went with. I have the 22's up front with the 255's in the rear. Looks good, handles well, and the price can't be beat.

Thank you all.
Will check on both sumis and hankooks.
Consensus shows 255 in the back, but split 205 and 225 in the front.
What's the difference? Will the 225 fit on those 10 spoke wheels well?
Cheers.

Planning buying new tires tomorrow and I decided to go the Sumi HTRZ III. They seem to get the nod based on value from the threads I reviewed. Maybe I'll go back and check out the Hankook V12 s again...

Just did the Sumis on a C4S. Came from Pirellis. Can't tell the difference. Great tire for the $ especially for your purpose.

When I was at European Motorsports in Raleigh getting my new to me car sorted out with new Brakes, Tires, Distributors and Rotors and various fluids and gaskets replaced they recommended a set of Conti's ExtremeContact DW.

Got them shipped to the place from Tire-Rack for $574 in 2 days with a $100 voucher for Adidas. Seemed like a good deal to me.
