Default Screw For Switchblade Key (missing)

So, my remote/switchblade key came without a screw.

I've looked all over including the hardware stores and no one has one that will fit... Does anyone here have any idea where I may be able to find one??

Screw for a switchblade key???

Some people will do anything for a switchblade key...why not just buy a new one?

Seriously, I had one in my desk drawer left over when I converted to the fob style...if I can find it...I'll send it to you...no favor return needed

Have you checked the price of just the plastic portion of the Porsche fob? It's like $60 just for the plastic, with no circuit card.
Yes, I am well aware of the POS china crap being sold on fleabay. At $0, they are worth the free shipping

This was the very reason I kept the old one. Sorry Gant...looks like I shipped the one I had to another rennlister. I can tell you the threads for the screw in the switchblade are metric and you will probably have better luck in Canada or Europe finding one.

I have a Fuse Deposition Model 3-D printer and I'm tempted to design and print a better switch blade for the 993.

Think I'll just tape it shut and just keep it around for an extra. I already have a fob

I took the screw from a spare switchblade that I have, to my BMW motorcycle technician, and we went through all his bike fasteners, and through his collection of aircraft fasteners. No joy. Then I went to a model train / hobby place, and again, no joy.

Alternatively, you get a two piece key and fob from Sunset, and then move the circuit board and key over to it, using the DIY information here. I find the two piece is more convenient to use than the switchblade.

You could join the guy that's flying to Europe to find a screw for his sunroof

I have one, converted to a fob. PM me your address, and I will put the screw in an envelope.
