That is pretty slick.

My cover had the pattern on the back, so I used those markings as my template. I definitely heard a difference in intake growl after drilling the holes.

Seamless - Great engineering; simple solution.
This template will greatly simplify drilling an airbox cover.

Adam, great job, well done. I look forward to using the template, I guess I'll coordinate with "FabianS" or he'll contact me when he's done.
Thanks for all your efforts!

Just a suggestion, after the holes are drilled, you might want to de-bur the edges with a cone shaped grinder. I used a dermal on mine.

Who has the template now? I'd love to borrow it to do this job...

For anyone wishing to drill holes in their stock airbox cover, here are the details:
Upper zone: 8 columns of alternating 12 and 13 holes.
Lower zone: 8 columns of alternating 10 and 11 holes
Hole diameter: 4.2 mm or 0.165" (No 19 drill bit).

Hey, your pic looks damn familiar.

Something like a Weldon DB-6 or DB-8 90 deg countersink.

Those are the only countersinks I now buy. (CS series for 82 degrees)

On a job like this, you'd twist them by thumb and index finger.

Those look great bud! In a perfectionist, so I can really dig what you've done here. Good work.

Great job Seamless.

I'd like to use the template as well.
Who is the last in line, so I can coordinate with him?

Thanks.

Rodrigo.

I asked the same a few days ago and sent a PM as well. Haven't yet figured out who may have the template though!

Hey all,

Just got back from our honey moon - great trip to Spain, Morocco, Portugal.

Fabian was first in line. I will send it out in the next couple days.
