About 1 qt/3000 miles. When I first got it the consumption was less than 1qt/5000 miles. I didn't add any for a few years. This was much better than my new '95 did. It was still less than 1 qt/5000 miles well into the 200,000s.

Richard,
Always good to read your updates. I'm hoping to hit 300,000 miles with my '01 4Runner this year. Purchased new in June 2001 with 2 miles on the 'clock'.

Thanks for the update, Richard.

One more question: how many rpms do you typically cruise at, on divided highways?

That's awesome. I had no idea that thing above the center console was really a pipe holder.

Have you had to do any engine work?

A well enjoyed Porsche. I had a high mileage 930 once. My wife drove it to work year round in the slush, snow & salt of Cleveland, even had snow tires all around. What ended the love story was when it cost more to repaint it than just finding another one in better shape. Sold it on ebay and I understand it is still running around somewhere in southern CA.

I put 245,000 on my 1971 Targa. Just hit 106,000 on my 1995 C4.

Fantastic! What are some of the mechanical problems/failures (if any) that you've experienced besides the SAI?
