As I've said before you have to match outrageous looks with outrageous performance and almost all the RWB conversions fall well short off the mark, so when you blow past them on the Autobahn or freeway in your bone stock 993.......well you get it, there's something wrong with that picture
As they say all show and no go which is the exact opposite philosophy of the 911 from inception

There is something about the Asian culture. Just look at all the tuner cars in Japan where the national speed limit is 100 kph and their motor vehicle laws make it very hard to keep an old car on the road.
They seem to cherish the "make it look great" over "it goes great". Even if it goes great (Nissan GTR) you can't actually use the performance. Perhaps if you're going to sit in Tokyo traffic for a couple hours/day you want, at minimum, to be noticed!
I also think that's why drifting developed over there. A relatively easy to implement virtually at any shopping center parking lot sport - where you can actually use your "it goes great" car and still be somewhat "socially acceptible".

Drifting
Sometimes it just boils down to expression and wanting something unique, very common in Asia. It may not make sense, but hey you only live once too!
It's a new generation of 993 owners....

Also, going by your example of the national speed limit in Japan being 100KPH, that must mean that no one in America builds fast cars either?
