to each his own.
i like RWB alot, a car is meaningless unless it expresses what the owner wants it to be.
it may be a porsche, a RWB or ....

on the other hand, i never understood gembella or ruf...
but i dig manthey and andial..

i track a lot, i dont drift, mainly b/c i dont have the talent. watch a drift competition in person, you be amazed how much car control is required.

Maybe true but I'm pretty sure the current RWB guys are not concern about how the car will be running 10 years from now or what it will be worth. It looks cool now and to them and that's prob what counts.

"I will drive an RW(B) Porsche, until I die..."

Sounds like dedication to me.

Default Misconception

Dear aarow,
The misconception is not mine it is RWB's in bastardizing a universal icon, the ultimate rendition of the 911 that even the late FAP complimented in its execution
I was lucky enough to meet the professor at a Porsche function after I picked up my first 993 from the factory in 1995 and asked him:
"In your opinion as the man who penned the original design is the 993 a worthy successor ?"
His response: "this latest 911 is a compliment to our original design, modern yet true, both dynamically and aesthetically"
Maybe in the tuner forums his work is highly regarded but is far from original
You see the ideas are all borrowed from Porsche's previous road / race executions only magnified just like Godzilla
But I guess that's a Japanese cultural phenomenon too

Porsita's reply is actually quite clear. The main point is toward the end. Porsche has stuck big flares on 911's for decades now, to fit wide rubber on race cars. Where is the innovation that this Nakai guy provides, that merits the oohs and ahhs of his admirers? I guess it's the same mentality of a male seeing a gal with a huge fake rack walking down the street. Worth a look, but only in the most primal way.

I absolutely love RWB's but would never do it to my car....

I love seeing other ppl's definition of 'the perfect car' and respect the term "To each their own".

Check out VOSSTEK`S 930 Super Turbo Ultra Wide Body kit its a Rauh Welt look alike, it is made of the same material and is just as wide. It is very affordable ($20.000.00 less than RWB), it looks AWESOME!!! They have 3 style of front bumpers (C 2/4 look, RS and RSR), 2 style rockers (C 2/4 look and RSR), 2 style rear bumpers (RSR and C 2/4 style). They also have 12 different style wings here are 2 links: https://www.facebook.com/BetterBodiesUSA
