I have a set of stage III's just about to be shipped from FD. Darin was up front when I ordered them that they are very busy and back-ordered. He always replies to my emails during work days, often within a few minutes.
I have used FD twice for two different cars and he will do what he says. Good people.

They are not nearly that expensive.

Default Fister III's

I called the shop Friday and got a message they were at Laguna Seca for the weekend.
Darin called me Monday morning and we made arrangements to send my Fabspeeds to him for stage 3 treatment.
Thanks to Eddie for loaning me a set of stock cans in the interim.

Can't wait to put them on. My wife has to put her fingers in her ears, the drone is so bad with the fabspeeds.
Don't mind the noise, it's the drone that's killing me.

The stage II's are my favorite part of my car. The guys at FDM are first class, they are a real asset to our community.

FDM are a small shop pumping out top class gear.

It's all worth it in the end.
Sometimes a little patience is in order.

Yep, just the testimonial I was looking for.

I would give my right one and throw in my Fabspeed supercups for a pair of Fister III's.

The op needs to realize that FD is a small shop, they do much more than fab 993 parts. There isn't a shelf full of Stage l, ll, and lll's just waiting to be shipped. Sometimes they have spare cores to use BEFORE they get yours...sometimes you send them yours, they fit the muffler mod in their schedule, then you get em. Maybe a different business model than say a Fabspeed, but waaay worth the wait.

To some, a fabspeed exhaust sounds better to them than a fister and they are not wrong. It's called personal preference.

Question though, can I send a set of fabspeed muffs to FD and "stage 2" it? Or does it have to be the stock muffs?

Yes, I am all for personal preference, but he said he bought Fabspeed because he was told they will sound better. It's not a "personal preference" unless he has heard them himself. Oh well

Since we're discussing FDM products...looking for feedback on Stage IIs with MS mufflers or 200 Cell Cat with MS mufflers with respect to drone and dB difference compared to MS and stock cat? I'm trying to decide whether to go the Cat or Stage II route for my exhaust upgrade - not interested in doing both and I know cost is quite different. Any feedback always helpful!
