An LED typically consumes 1/10 the power of an incandescent for the same lumens. So if you replace the 16W incandescent parking light bulb with the 6W LED (available here) you will use 10W less energy. If you replace four bulbs that's 40W. 40 Watts converts to 29.5 ft lbs/sec ! The alternator is not 100% efficient so you may gain 35 ft lbs/sec.

I'm not sure why it would be illegal to remove your marker lights, it doesn't seem to be a problem here and I much prefer the look without them.
My DRLs are still the fog lights, which I could see being a problem if DRLs are required by law and they are removed. These I've upgraded to be pure white lumen too.
Not feeling the LEDs setup too, as others have mentioned its just not period correct. Use orange stealth bulbs, they aren't visible in the day but light up orange at night.

Ok, I went a well known local automotive accessory shop and bought amber led bulbs. Once installed, they flashy faster than stock and if you are old like me you will think that a bulb is burned out.
