Sent my "CDR220 Controller" (faceplate) to SWStereo Specialists. Display was missing some letter "segments". $148 and new fresh display but different color........ Quick turnaround. Some may know of cheaper solution?

push the "release faceplate button" on the top right, then just pull it out of the electrical contact holder thing by pulling up and out.

Help needed radio face plate dim

recently I changed the battery in 2002 Boxster, the asked for a code but I did not insert the code. The car was not used for about one month now the face plate is very dim and does not ask for a code numbers.. help please!!

He is misinformed. Rotate it down and pull it straight out. Regardless, I suggest you start a new thread as “my radio does not operate” is a different issue than the original purpose of this thread, which was “how to make the faceplate brighter?”
